Superpowers!!

The super powers are the United States and The Soviet Union. You can be on the side with Stalin or with Truman and i am with the United States or Truman. I like Nationaliam. It started but spreading in teh United States and then started spreading across the world, well atleast in more parts of the world and not just in the United States.

The Korean War

North Korea attacks south Korea,Truman ordered naval and air support for south korea. The Korean was s tarted on June 25, 1950 and it wa started when north Korea invaded south Korea. So then we join in and even with the United States there the North Korean armed units almost seemed unstopable.

38th parrell

The 38th parrell is a imaginary line that bisects korea into 38 degrees north latitude. It shows where North and South Korea are sparated. It was first suggested to be put there in 1896. The 38th parrell is very important to the history of Korea. One of the main reasons the 38th parrell was put where it was to end the fighting

McCarthyism

McCarthism-accusing people of being a communist

During the Cold War there was a man named Joseph McCarthy and he was always accusing people of being a communist, at first everyone believed him untill towards the end of his life he decided to accuse people in the army of being communist which obviously you dont do because thats just like saying they arent american. McCarthy was a major alcoholic and was concidered a phyco towards the end of his life. Also the way he died was of alcohol poising.

Definition of Cold War

The Cold War was the continuing state of political conflict, military tension, proxy wars, and economic competition existing after world war II. Despite being Allies against the Axis powers and having the most powerful military forces among peer nations, the USSR and the US disagreed. The Cold War featured periods of relative calm and of international high tension.
